Ferry Reservations - North/South Island Transport
 

The Interisland Line offers daily ferry services across Cook Strait between Wellington and Picton, linking New Zealand's North and South Islands. Simply drive on, drive off and continue on your way.

Turn a crossing into a cruise. Travel Cook Strait on The Interislander and your holiday starts the moment you step onboard.

Travel straight across Cook Strait. If it's speed you're after, try the Lynx - one of the fastest and smoothest car and passenger ferries in the world.

If you advise us of your preferred crossing times, number of passengers and ages of children, we will be happy to make the booking for you. You collect your tickets on pick-up and pay for the ferry at the branch.

It is essential to pre-book ferries in the New Zealand summer months between November and March. We will reconfirm to you the actual sailing time when it is confirmed to us.

The approximate time to cross by the Interislander Ferry is 3 hours and the Lynx Fast Ferry is 2 hours & 15 minutes.

If looking for economies when crossing between the north and south islands, it is possible to drop cars off in Picton or Wellington and avoid having to pay additional fees for the ferry crossing by car. Minimum rental days apply one way; please email us for further information and availability.
